As a winter sports resort, Beatenberg is a family friendly ski paradise with fine ski runs for beginners and advanced skiers , well prepared pistes, marked cross country ski-ing tracks, ski rambling programs, ski school and natural ice rink.

Situated in a glorious, sunny position high above the lake of Thun, with superb views of the mountains, Hotel Gloria is easily accessible. There is a bus stop just fifty metres from our door with a regular service to Interlaken.

The Niederhorn Bahn is just a short stroll for the cable car to the summit of the Niedorhorn (1950m) a starting point for superb walks, winter ski-ing and unbeatable panoramic views. The funicular railway station down to lakeside Beatenbucht is also at the Niederhorn Bahn. Buses to Interlaken and the popular city of Thun run from Beatenbucht. In the summer season Beatenbucht is a stop for one of the numerous diffferent boat cruises.
